I had purchased and installed a blog feature for all members of e-Sangha. To activate your blog, go to <My Control>. Click on the <Blog> on the top left hand side of the navigation bar. Activate your blog and submit all required settings.
Members who used to have the Wordpress Blog currently on e-Sangha, you may activate your new blog. You can choose to use your new blog or your old blog, or you may continue using both the blogs.

WebLog or "blog" --an online journal or diary allowing for personal expression as well as reaction from readers

I know what it is, I just don't know what I would have to say...???

i tried my first entry into blog, and so did kunga. both of us can read our own blogs, but not each other's. anyone know what we are doing wrong?

Yeah...when i go to sattva "My Blog" and push it...i get MY blog !!!!!! (and same with sattva !!!!) (she gets hers, when she pushes mine !!!)

Hey Teyes, is it possible to customise one's blog with various skins like the former version?

Would be neat.

Currently its not possible to have an individual skin for individual blog for this software released but it might changed after few months.

On the front page there is also a link right at the top of the page between gallery and help just under the E-Sanga Title to the right.

OH, HELP!

Somehow I managed to activate my blog - I'm not sure how - but it has not been enabled. What do I put in "category"? I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing Are there some step-by-step instructions for this? An idiot's guide to blogging?

Best thing is to look around on the pages.
[Category] is a way of giving your blog postings a title. You may call it "My life" or whatever you want.

These are just settings.

Using to blog is quite easy and pretty much like posting on the board. You just go to "My blog" and somewhere on the right, you'll find an [Add entry], which you click and woosh, you can start writing whatever you like....

I found it to be really useful...

Just like e-Sangha, you can input any type of language you want. The blog can be input in Spanish too.

As you're posting on your blog, on that bottom of that posting page make sure that you select "Add this entry as Published". If you already saved as a draft, at your edit screen make sure you select "Add this entry as Published" too.

indeed thank you for the blog. I have seen blogs before, but never had a reason to start one...well I thought I would give it a try.

BTW. I have visited other forums and I am member to another (not Buddhism) and I think your forum is wonderful, some really great features. Love the spell check and edit option.

Yes, you can subscribe to any members blog thru any newsfeeder services.

I have activated but not enabled my blog yet.

I'm very cautious about creating blog settings in case they are set in concrete, like the title of posts on E-Sangha cannot be edited. If I get inspired and change my mind, can they be changed later e.g. blog name, blog description, blog categories (whatever they are?). I don't know what I'm going to write about yet. I'm making it up as I go along

Blog is just short for "Web Log." It's nothing more than an online journal that others can read. A forum where all the topics are yours, and other people can reply.
