Thanks so much for this wonderful video!

You don't happen to be a resident of a Kwan Um center do you?

Well I was just hopeful of gaining insight into the life a resident at a Kwan Um school. I'm interested in possibly establishing residency at the Providence, RI site, the headquarters, so I thought it would be cool to talk to an actual resident.

I recently emailed and received a message back from the abbot at PZC. He explained the fees schedule and the process for establishing residency. It was great information.

What kind of instrument is the big hollow fish at 7'13''? A type of moktak or something else?

Hey KwanUm,
Do you have the script in Korean and English for this evening prayer? I would love to integrate this into my daily practice. Thanks!

I found it! A kind gentleman of the Korean Zen Yahoo Group informed me that my own homepage - The Kwan Um School of Zen website - has all of the chants used in the video.

The first chant is the "Evening Bell Chant". There is a (probably not
very literal) translation here:
http://www.kwanumzen.org/practice/chants/e...gbellchant.html

Then at 9 minutes into the video they start the "Yebul", also known as
the "Homage to the Three Jewels":
http://www.kwanumzen.org/practice/chants/h...hreejewels.html

Then at about 16 minutes into the video they start the Korean version
(which is actually in Chinese) of the Heart Sutra:
http://www.kwanumzen.org/practice/chants/h...utrakorean.html

The above is just the transliteration - here is a translation:
http://www.kwanumzen.org/practice/chants/h...traenglish.html

Enjoy!

Yeah, I saw that too. It was a nice video, but I didn't get to watch the whole thing. Anyone got a mirror?
