Founding members are members without moderating privileges, but with access to the the private forum used for discussing moderation and administration policies and decisions. As such, they can voice their opinions on these matters on equal footing with the moderators and can vote on bans and long term suspensions of members.
Moderators are usually assigned to moderate one specific area of e-sangha, whereas global moderators have moderating powers in all forums and sub-forums of e-sangha.
Moderators are appointed by consensus in the private administration forum. If a need for a moderator and a suitable candidate is identified and no one argues against this choice, the administrators will appoint said person as moderator if it meets his approval.
The administrators, in addition to global moderating powers, have power over just about everything on E-sangha and have the final say in all matters. All administrators are approved by Teyes, who is the owner of E-sangha.
